Board Members from US visit Children of Faith

Us visitors at the Children of Faith Home in India

There is something special about being there in person. Two members of the Children of Faith U.S. Board, Patty and Haley, are in India to spend time at the Children of Faith Home. Their visit is about much more than meetings. It is an opportunity to roll up their sleeves, get involved, and share everyday life with the children and staff.

During their time at the Home, they are helping in the classrooms, working alongside teachers and encouraging students in their studies. They are also assisting with administrative tasks, gaining a firsthand look at the many details involved in caring for and educating so many children. And, of course, there is plenty of time for what matters most to children everywhere: playing, laughing, talking, and simply spending time together.

One of the highlights of their visit was bringing a special gift for every child—a sports jersey of their own. The excitement of receiving a new jersey quickly turned into smiles, games, and lots of fun. More than just a gift, the jerseys became a tangible reminder to each child that people thousands of miles away care about them and are cheering them on.

“It’s amazing to be here with the kids and see their smiling faces each day! Every moment with them feels like a gift. They’re all growing up to be so confident, smart, and kind thanks to Children of Faith”

Haley Lewis, Children of Faith Board Member on her 5th visit to the Home

One of the most memorable days of the visit has been a special outing to the beach with all of the children. For many, it was a chance to step away from their usual routines and simply enjoy a day of fun together. The children splashed in the water, played games, explored the beach, and filled the day with laughter.

Patty and Haley joined right in, creating memories and sharing in the children’s excitement. It was a wonderful reminder that caring for children means more than providing for their basic needs—it also means creating opportunities for joy, friendship, adventure, and the simple happiness of being together.

Visits like this strengthen the connection between the Children of Faith Home in India and the supporters who make its work possible in the United States. Being with the children, seeing their classrooms, meeting their teachers, and experiencing the daily life of the Home gives Board members a deeper understanding of both the needs and the incredible opportunities that Children of Faith provides.

Most of all, the visit reminded everyone that Children of Faith is not simply a place—it is a community. And whether helping with a lesson, tackling an administrative task, or joining a group of children in a game, every moment spent together helps build the relationships that make this ministry so meaningful.

Consider making a gift today.

The smiles, the classrooms, the games, the new jerseys, and the opportunities these children receive are all made possible through the generosity of people who believe in their future.

Your donation can help provide the education, care, experiences, and everyday opportunities that allow the children of Children of Faith to thrive. You may not be able to travel to India yourself, but your generosity can reach across the miles and make a very real difference in a child’s life.

Your gift can help a child learn, grow, dream—and know that someone is cheering them on.
