Everyone at Children of Faith is proud of Jeebon! He had the highest test score of the COF kids in the 10th grade class of 2019 (9 points out of 10 on the “10th Board Exam”).
Jeebon came to Children of Faith from a remote tribal village; his father was no longer part of his life, and he has no siblings. His mother has been unable to support him.
Today Jeebon attends a junior college where he is currently studying “MPC”, a program of Math, Physics and Chemistry. After completing junior college, in two years, he hopes to go to engineering college.
I was overjoyed to see my tenth grade test results. My dream is to become a Mechanical Engineer and work for a Reputed Company.
— Jeebon
His whole village has reacted with delight to his accomplishment, because he was the first person from the community to achieve such a high score. The junior college he attends has given feedback to COF that he is doing extremely well. He is a hard worker. He still continues to enjoy playing cricket. When he was little, he aspired to be a professional cricket player, now he realizes an engineer would be more practical.
In the past, his COF home-school teachers said he was very focused and is a go-getter. Jeebon has always been helpful to the younger kids and always offers to help visitors. Educational achievement, such as Jeebon’s has been made possible by COF donors who support the children’s education by sponsoring and donating.
To help Children of Faith in this effort to provide an education and the college dream to all our children, learn about our dedication to education and get involved in the new school, Hope Academy. This new school will bring opportunities to more young people in the Vizag area.
