Rosie Thandu is returning to India with a full heart and full suitcases after spending a month in the US. She has some special treats for the children and many stories to tell the children at the Home about the love she felt from COF supporters the new experiences she had while in the US. Rosie visited several churches and met with lots of supporters to spread the word about the work of COF but still found time to have some fun. She was missed by all 120 children and Anand Thandu too!
Take a look…..
Rosie spent time visiting with friends and supporters over coffee and meals, on a walk, site seeing, whale watching and even in a Pilates class. She got to meet some new members of the extended COF Family and connect with new supporters. She brought news of the children’s accomplishments and the Home’s plans for the future. She visited churches in Seattle and Chicago. Around California she visited churches in Alamo, Berkeley, Concord, Dublin, Lafayette, Lodi, Walnut Creek and Yuba City. She sure was busy!
You can watch the livestream recording of Rosie telling her story at Crossroads Church in Concord, California https://www.wearecrossroads.church/
"I was deeply touched when a friend of mine shared that she prays for us and our ministry every single day. This selfless support reminds me that our work in India is made possible by the generosity, prayers, and encouragement of our US family. During my trip, I formed new connections, cherished moments with long-standing supporters, and experienced divine appointments in unexpected places – from Uber rides to flights, mom's groups, and more. These blessings made the trip truly special. As I return to my family and ministry assignment in India, my heart is full and refreshed."
— Rosie Thandu, co-founder, Children of Faith
While she was gone, the children were busy in India. Although they missed her they kept up with their school work and look forward to her return. Anand took a group of older boys on a service to a nearby flooded area to bring supplies to those who lost everything. You can read about it on this news tab, COF YOUTH SERVICE. In addition new construction is underway at Children of Faith, Read about the KITCHEN CONSTRUCTION also on the news tab.
We really missed Rosie, but the children really helped out in her absence. I am very excited about the growing connections she has cultivated for Children of Faith! We kept busy in here during her trip with the new kitchen groundwork, our first boys' mission trip to Vijayawada, and passing government inspections. The children and I are praying for Rosie's safe and speedy return, and we are thankful for all your support and hospitality.
