A Year of Growth, Laughter, and Hope at Our Children’s Home
As we step into the new year, it’s time to reflect on the journey we’ve traveled together over the past 12 months. The year 2024 was a year of growth, love, and unforgettable memories at our children’s home. Each child has blossomed in their unique way, and their highlights are what make our work so meaningful. From new friendships to academic milestones, here’s a look at some of the unforgettable moments that made 2024 so special.
1. New Beginnings: Welcoming New Faces
Every year, we have the honor of welcoming new children into our home. This year, we were blessed to see many new faces, each bringing their own story and personality. Some children came local communities while others from farther away, for all of them, our home became a place of comfort and safety. The joy of seeing them settle in and gradually form bonds with their peers was one of the most heartwarming aspects of 2024. Friendships were formed, laughter echoed through the halls, and new adventures were begun.
2. Education and Learning: A Year of Academic Triumphs
Education is a cornerstone of our mission, and this year, our children achieved great academic success. Whether it was excelling in school exams, mastering a new language, or participating in science fairs, their hard work paid off. Our younger children, delighted in their first experiences with reading and writing, and it was a joy to see their eyes light up as they completed their first books. Visitors to our helped bring new ideas, and experiences to our classrooms, enhancing the the education four children receive.
Celebrations and Festivals: A Year of Joyful Traditions
Our children’s home is filled with life and color, especially during festivals and special celebrations. This year, we celebrated Christmas with great enthusiasm. The lights, decorations, sweets, and traditional performances filled the air with joy. The children, who love to dance, performed beautiful celebration dances for an audience of more than 1500 guests. These celebrations not only help build confidence in the children but help to give our children a connection to their community and a sense of belonging and value.
A highlight for me this year was dancing in our big Christmas event

The Gift of Giving: Community Outreach
In 2024, our children also learned the importance of giving back to their community. With the generous support of our donors, we organized a trip Vijayawada to bring supplies to those affected by the monsoon floods. Our children worked hard to pack and distribute donations, and the expression on their faces as they handed over needed items to others was priceless. It was a touching reminder that kindness and generosity are values that transcend boundaries.
Sports and Health: Building Strength and Confidence
This year, our children took on the challenge of sports with enthusiasm and determination. We held our annual park outing, where every child participated in activities from running races to tug-of-war. What was most inspiring wasn’t just the winning, but the spirit of teamwork and resilience. The children showed remarkable perseverance in the activities. These experiences not only built physical strength but also boosted confidence and taught the value of hard work and persistence.
Art and Creativity: Expressing the Inner Self
Creativity took center stage throughout 2024, with children participating in various art projects and workshops. From creative writing to music, our young artists expressed themselves in the most beautiful ways. A special highlight was the opportunity to learn and the harmonica with a special recital. We’re always looking for opportunities to inspire the children to further their creative talents.
The highlight of the year for me was learning and performing harmonica recital.

Our Home continues to grow: We’re building a new kitchen dining Hall
We are thrille to have be building our new kitchen and dining hall building. These modern facilities will make a great addition to our campus, and enable us to purchase and store bulk food, cook in sanitary conditions and offer indoor dining for our children, out of the elements. Although the rains have caused dome delay, our new facilities are taking shape and we look forward to completing the project next year.
So many highlights in 2024 but starting the construction of the dining Hall and Kitchen is one of the best!

A Year of Growth and Transformation
Throughout 2024, we’ve witnessed our children grow not only in size but in character. The shy child who once hesitated to speak in front of others now confidently participates in discussions. The children who once lacked hope now dream of a brighter future. Their transformation has been remarkable, and it is all thanks to the love, care, and guidance they receive from our dedicated staff and supporters.
Every year each child receives a gift of a new outfit for Christmas. They are grateful for this gift!

Your Support Makes our Work Possible!
Your donations to our general fund make our Home successful. Our sponsors help us feed and clothe the children and provide tuition for college students, but we rely on donations to our general fund for the unexpected things that come along like special medical needs, or broken plumbing. We couldn’t keep transforming the lives of young people in India without these additional donations, please help us however you can.
