End of School Year Exams

Our students worked hard all year to prepare for the end of the academic year exams. Our tenth graders completed their exams while the Junior college exams were postponed due to a Cyclone threatening our area. The cyclone passed with heavy rain and now the exams can proceed.

The 10th grade exams is very important. This year presented unique challenges as the academic year was short due to COVID restrictions and our students lost learning opportunities while sheltering away from the Home. Everyone worked hard to complete the year’s content and now anxiously wait for test results. The exams are administered at various testing centers. Not only will these exams will determine the Junior college placement for our students, setting opportunities for their future education, but will become part of their resume for college and employment.

Our younger students all passed their exams, which is required to move on to the next grade. Soon the students will return to their communities to stay with family, or extended family for a brief school summer break, to wait out the hottest weather season of the year. It is the goal of our Home education program to provide our children with the best possible education to allow them to break the cycle of poverty that persists in their families and communities. Did you know they study three languages? Hindi, Telegu and English. Our older children in college and graduated tell us this academic preparation has given them advantages in college and job placements. Help us continue this work by contributing to our Scholarship Fund or Sponsoring a child.
