Children’s Day is celebrated annually in India on November 15. This date commemorates the birthday of Jawaharlal Nehru, India’s first Prime Minster. He was well known for his affection for children. Children of Faith embraces this day in a big way as it is home to 120 children. This year everyone enjoyed a day at the Park to honor the occasion. The weather was a bit overcast, but it did not dampen anyone’s spirits. The children enjoyed games, songs, free time around the park and special snacks.
A game of “Race with but don’t Pop or drop the Balloon-no hands!” was enjoyed by all
Tom Scovel joined the fun. Tom is a linguistics teacher who is visiting COF from the US to offer special training to COF teachers on techniques for language instruction and development. He showed some magic tricks and puzzles to the kids and took a walk with the kids. Tom’s visit is a treat for the children, they enjoy spending time with him as much as he enjoys being with them!
Rosie surprised the children by dressing in a school uniform for the occasion. She played games along with the children and enjoyed the day away from the school routine as much as the children did.
It was an awesome Day. The children enjoy the games and the chance to be out in nature. They were so tired and quiet on the bus ride home!

Help us Take the Children on More Outings by Contributing Toward the Purchase of a New bus.
The ability to purchase a second bus for the Children of Faith home would give us the opportunity to safely transport all the children together to more outings around our community, to church, and the older children to and from school.
