Music is a big part of life at Children of Faith. Our children love to sing and clap loudly. To build on this interest we’re expanding out music program and have a wonderful new Music Teacher. Percussion and keyboard are the main focus, though we have some ukuleles, an autoharp, harmonicas and a few other instruments the children care learning to play. We make time every day for songs and now music class is part of our school program. It hasn’t been easy to find a teacher to come out to our home, it’s on the outskirts of town, but David is dedicated to our children.
I'm so glad to have this opportunity to work with the children at Children of Faith. The organization is doing amazing work and it is my honor to teach the children music and encourage them. The children are so eager to learn, making my work at the home a wonderful journey.

The children are thrilled to be learning to read music. This is an opportunity not available in most schools in India. We don’t have to remind them to practice, they are anxious to learn and improve. We may have some budding musicians in our midst!
I never thought I'd have the chance to learn to play the keyboard
— Hashith, Grade 8

This past year we’ve been able to introduce our children to lots of unique opportunities, sewing, knitting, cookie decorating and more. All rare opportunities in India, enriching the education our children receive. Music is just one more way we’re able to give our students an advantage.
