At Children of Faith, every day is special—but some days shine a little brighter. This week, we came together to celebrate the birthday of our beloved founder, Anand Thandu, whose vision and kindness created a safe and loving space for so many children.
The day began with excitement in the air as the children helped decorate the home with colorful streamers, lights, handmade cards, and cheerful drawings. Each child wanted to express their gratitude in their own way, making the celebration truly heartfelt and personal.
In the afternoon, everyone gathered around for the highlight of the day—a BIG beautiful birthday cake. It read “Happy Birthday Sir” With smiles all around, we sang a joyful birthday song. The cake was then shared among everyone, adding sweetness to an already happy occasion.
As evening approached, the celebrations grew even more lively. A small fireworks display lit up the sky, filling the night with sparkling colors and delighted laughter. As you watch this short sample of the fireworks you can hear the glee in the children’s voices. For many of the children, it was a magical moment they will always remember.
The day ended with a special meal prepared with care and love in the Home’s new kitchen. The children enjoyed their favorite dishes, sitting together and sharing stories, laughter, and a sense of belonging. It was more than just a meal—it was a reminder of the family Anand and Rosie Thandu created in this Home.
Celebrating “Daddy’s” birthday is not only about marking another year but also about honoring the compassion and dedication that started it all. It is a day filled with joy, gratitude, and togetherness—a true reflection of the spirit of our Children of Faith.
