Children of Faith welcomes visitors, there are so many benefits to the children in the Home. Visitors give our children the opportunity to e opportunity to practice their English skills with native speakers, learn new skills visitors can teach and perhaps most importantly visitors enhance the sense of value our children feel. Visitors bring value to our staff as well, providing new ideas, teacher traiing and resources. Often a visiting group will help with property improvements as well.
This month Children of Faith welcomed a group from Lakeway Church in Texas. Their visit was was truly amazing. The visitors—Peter and Cindy McCabe, and Robin and Arthur Payne—were a great blessing to the children and staff. COF is deeply thankful to be connected to Lakeway Church through Lisa Vilas, a former board member and a faithful supporter of Children of Faith, who has visited India many times.
Although it was a short visit, the team greatly enjoyed spending time with the children. They played together, learned cricket, and enjoyed a bit of volleyball. The children joyfully performed for the team through songs and dance. Peter conducted reading classes, while Cindy and Robin led energetic Zumba sessions that the children loved. Arthur supported music and art classes.
The team brought several small musical instruments, giving the children an opportunity to explore and learn music together, including playing the harmonica. The visit was filled with joy, learning, and meaningful connections, leaving a lasting impact on both the visitors and the children.
