Kusuma Brings her Family to Visit COF

A woman returns to visit the Children of Faith Home with her family

We were delighted to have Kusuma, her husband and young son return to our Home recently. It was wonderful to see that she is in a loving marriage, and doing so well. She shared with us that she and her husband recently purchased a new car. They are currently living in Bangalore, in the southern part of India, where Kusama’s husband has a good job. They shared photos with us of their recent vacation to visit Mysore, know as the city of palaces.

Kusuma came to Children of Faith as an orphan at age eight. It is remarkable to see her blossom as a young women, wife and mother. She is now a living a life that seemed impossible to her when she first came to our Home. Her efforts with her education, her leadership at the Home with the younger children and the self confidence she developed at COF have made her the capable woman she’s become. She and her husband kindly brought candy and treats to share with the children at COF, our new children were delighted to meet her and the children she’s know for many years at the home were inspired by her poise and happiness.

You may remember reading here on our blog back in 2022 that Kusuma and her husband welcomed a baby boy. We continue to be in touch and support the children after they leave our home, Whether its to take a job in another city or marry and start their own family. They continue to be part of the Children of Faith family. We’re proud of the independent, capable young adults they become. They contribute to their communities, support themselves and others, and often return to visit Children of Faith.

Its stories like this that keep us going, its a tough job, its a hard job but we look at the success of our children and we praise god. We thank everyone for making a difference and helping us transform the lives of the young people in our Home

Help us continue to transform lives

We are transforming the lives of underprivileged children in India by providing a home and education for 120 children. Kusuma is just one example. We offer a needed stable home, medical care and an education that prepares our children for college and professional careers. This breaks the cycle of poverty, fills the children with confidence. One of the ways you can support this work is by sponsoring a child.
