Easter is always a joyful time, but never more than this year. Having our children back at our home made this Easter a wonderful celebration. All of the children had new outfits to wear, they have grown so much since they left us last year. We celebrated Easter with a worship service at our local church where the kids lead the music. It is always a lot of fun when the children leave our campus in our bus. The day was filled with lots of singing and joy.
Church was followed by a big Easter lunch, catered by a local restaurant. On our menu were many of the children’s favorite dishes, including Biryani, chicken curry, raita, sambhar, eggplant and green peas curry, yogurt, pickles, chips and an Indian sweet. Biryani is a spicy rice dish that the children love. It was a wonderful meal. We spent the afternoon playing games. The children had a special day.
We are looking forward to many more special days this year as we celebrate being together again!
