A Graduation Celebration

!0th graders celebrating end of the year at Children of Faith

In India the end of 10th grade is an occasion for celebration.  The students have completed their general education and will move on to Junior college for 11th and 12th grade.  Children of Faith recently hosted a celebration to mark this milestone a “Farewell” for their students who have just completed 10th grade at the Home’s school. After completing their exams later this month. Some students will remain at the home for Junior college while others might return to the community and live with relatives for the next two years.

COF’s farewell was an emotionally event as the teachers recognized and thanked the students, some of which had been with them since first grade.  The teachers spoke about each student and wished them well as they

In keeping with tradition the day was planned by the 9th graders, who will be celebrated next year.  The students dressed in the finest outfits and each 10th grader spoke, thanking their teachers and remembering some of the moments from their time in the school.  Of course there was dancing and cake!
